Job Summary

Are you passionate about local government budgeting? Do you enjoy analyzing and solving complex issues in a fast-paced, team environment? Loudoun County, Virginia's Office of the County Administration seeks to hire a management analyst to play a critical role in assisting the multi-divisional office with day-to-day budget preparation and execution, managing performance measures and data, and special projects. After a training period, this position is eligible for up to 3 days of telework per week.

The ideal management analyst shares a passion for local government, prioritizes problem solving and collaboration, and thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. The successful candidate should also have a team-oriented approach and strong analytical and writing skills and values excellent customer service and innovation. The Office of the County Administrator is one department that includes multiple programs and divisions, including the Office of Public Affairs and Communications, the Office of Equity and Inclusion, and the Office of Emergency Management. This management analyst position will serve as the liaison to the Office of Management and Budget and support the department in day-to-day budget analysis and special projects and participate in the annual budget process.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Policy, or related field; three (3) years of related work experience in areas such as government operating or capital budgeting and planning; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires thorough knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft 365 suite and Oracle or other enterprise resource planning software is a plus and strongly preferred.
