Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm No per diem Work Training Location: NEST in Kellyville Local Candidate required- Interviews will be in person and prefer someone with experience in oil/gas industry Minimum of 3-5 years experience Education: High School Diploma & Machining certification Must have the following: Understand CNC Machine Processors and G-Code Machine tooling and tool life management CAD based software and GD&T Tolerancing for Engineering Drawing Candidate will work with the following types of equipment: CNC Lathes (Mori Seiki - MAPPS and Puma- Fanuc) Some manual Lathe, Mill, etc. for tooling. Dress code is business casual - PPE will be provided CNC Lathe Programmer Posting Core Needs: * Analyze drawings, 3D models, and design data to determine part geometry, machining strategy, tool paths, and optimal cutting conditions. * Write, verify, and optimize CNC programs using CAM-generated post-processor outputs (via CimPro) and manual G-code adjustments as needed, ensuring safe, efficient, and production-aligned machining processes. * Collaborate with machinists, tooling vendors, and production supervisors to optimize tool paths, improve tool availability, maintain accurate setup sheets, and validate tooling performance. * Revise programs and setups to improve cycle times, reduce tool wear, enhance surface finish, and meet dimensional accuracy. * Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement in machining work centers and asset turnaround through reduced downtime, improved maintenance response, and enhanced reliability. * Foster a culture of continuous improvement by developing and executing initiatives that increase asset utilization, reliability, and cost-of-service delivery (CoSD) performance. Modernization & Digital Manufacturing * Lead the transition from manual/conversational programming to fully integrated CAD-to-CAM workflows, ensuring consistency through standardized CimPro post-processors. * Utilize simulation-based verification and digital twin environments for toolpath validation, collision detection, and machine utilization planning. * Support and implement DNC or networked program management systems for CNC file distribution. * Participate in the selection, testing, and deployment of new CAD/CAM and post-processor technologies, and assist in creating training materials for programming. Data & System Integration * Maintain the DLO and SLB-IAM system for SLB Digital applications compliance & server maintenance. * Maintain accurate and secure digital records of CNC programs, revisions, and related documentation. Quality, Safety, and Compliance * Apply Design for HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) tools to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring safe, ergonomic, and environmentally responsible machining processes. * Support technical audits, safety assessments, and failure investigations as assigned by Reliability, CoSD, or Maintenance Manager, following up on required actions. * Monitor data integrity and completeness within the CMMS to support CoSD and reliability analysis. Desired Qualifications * Proficiency in a CAD/CAM system such as Fusion 360, Mastercam, or EdgeCam. * Proficiency in PLM software Windchill * Experience with CimPro post-processor customization and DNC/digital machining workflows. * Strong understanding of G-code/M-code and Fanuc/MAPPS control systems. * Skilled in multi-axis machining, fixture design, tooling selection, and complex toolpath development. * Demonstrated success in leading CAD/CAM modernization or software migration initiatives | |
