Overview About GCE: Global Connections to Employment (GCE) is a nationwide team providing jobs for people with significant disabilities, including our war-wounded veterans. Since its establishment in 1986, GCE has helped match team members to fulfilling careers, from custodial services to facilities maintenance and food services, plus other business lines in between. Working with customers from the U.S. military, commercial business and community partners - as well as federal, state and local governments - GCE is one of the country's largest private employers of persons with disabilities. Learn more at GCE.org. Overview The business services representative (BSR) identifies and builds relationships with businesses willing to employ job seekers with disabilities, and acts as a liaison between the businesses and the job seekers, helping businesses find qualified candidates by understanding their staffing needs and connecting them with suitable individuals. The BSR meets with potential employers to explain GCE's mission and goals, and to obtain their agreement and commitment to hire job seekers with disabilities. The BSR assists with the placement of job seekers into competitive employment consistent with their interests and goals. The BSR works closely with GCE's employment consultants to discuss vocational goals for job seekers, and to identify available positions in the community that fit those goals. Other duties include providing written and verbal feedback regarding the progress of job seekers' efforts to obtain employment. The BSR will also participate in job fairs and other community events to promote GCE and its job seekers.
