The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (COM), one of the nation's oldest medical schools, is renowned for training exceptional healthcare professionals and advancing innovative research. In collaboration with UC Health and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, our faculty are transforming patient care through groundbreaking discoveries and clinical excellence. We are seeking a full-time Faculty member in the Department of Surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. The successful candidate will be a skilled and self-motivated researcher with interest and experience in investigating the impact of polytrauma and critical illness on patient outcomes by determining the physiologic, hematologic, and inflammatory effects of resuscitation, transportation, and transfusion after traumatic injury utilizing basic, translational, and clinical research platforms. This position is embedded within the Cincinnati Research in Trauma (CRIT) team, a multidisciplinary group dedicated to advancing trauma science and improving outcomes for critically injured patients. This position requires leadership in the development, design, execution, and analysis of basic and translational research projects. The faculty member will also work with and mentor surgical trainees in related research projects and manuscript preparation. Academic rank and tenure track eligibility will be determined by experience and expectations for extramural funding. This position is not eligible for H-1B (or J-1) sponsorship. Essential Functions
