Your role

This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of testing data in product development and quality assurance systems and provides analysis of various testing protocols and results. This includes monthly and quarterly reporting on test outcomes for assigned products, as well as preparing performance summaries for management meetings, product reviews, and special projects. This role also provides support in key areas of testing operations, including but not limited to the setup and maintenance of testing equipment, documentation of test procedures, and serving as a liaison for troubleshooting and quality assurance issues.



Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Conduct on-site inspections and testing of portable air compressors and electrical generators
  • Identify mechanical and/or electrical problems
  • Troubleshoot problems and report failures and/or problems found during testing
  • Complete and sign all required documentation for equipment being tested
  • Assemble portable air compressors and electrical generators
  • Train for assembly on several product lines
  • Cross-train to other assembly lines
  • Maintain 5S throughout the assigned work area
  • Must take the necessary precautions to protect yourself and co-workers by using proper safety equipment and guidelines
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:



  • * Must have strong mechanical, electrical, and computer skills
  • * Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
  • * Required to use considerable judgment performing certain operations
  • * Must be able to work independently
  • * Prior use of hand and power tools used in manufacturing
  • * Good product knowledge
  • * Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • * Willing to work regular and/ or flexible hours, as required to meet business needs
  • * Attention to detail
  • * Able to work in a team
  • * Constructive and positive attitude
  • * Clean and orderly
  • * Accurate and independent


Education and Experience:



  • * High school diploma (or equivalent) with some technical school training (or equivalent work experience)
  • 0-2 years of relevant assembly experience.


Physical Requirements:



  • * Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • * Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times (occasionally).


Travel Occasional travel may be required
