$5,000 Sign On Bonus!! Purpose of the Job This position is responsible for performing a variety of patient care activities, including assisting with MOHS surgical procedures. Job Functions Assesses Mohs surgical procedures and patient specific requirements with the other Mohs nurses to ensure proper preparation of the Mohs treatment rooms. Prepares and maintains the clean procedure field for the duration of each Mohs procedure. Assists the Mohs surgeon as needed during the Mohs procedure Assists with room turnover in Mohs surgery between cases. Performs accurate Mohs surgery assisting. Standard rooming including obtaining vital signs and documentation in EMR. Supports physicians by completing physicians note and documentation into the EMR system during the patient's visit. Administers prescribed medications/vaccines and treatments in accordance with clinic policies and scope of certification/licensure. Prepares equipment and assists providers during examination, testing and treatment of patients. Performs specialty procedures/tests as directed by the Physician Helps maintain stocked supplies and sterilizes instruments/exam room. Assists in arranging referrals/prior authorizations as necessary. Provides patient education Participates in quality improvement activities as appropriate to position. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education/Qualifications Minimum Education/Work Experience Graduation from Medical Assisting program or School of Practical Nursing License/Certifications Current LPN Licensure or Certified Medical Assistance (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Current CPR certification Preferred Qualifications Previous MOHS surgery assistance experience EMR Experience Compensation Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as: the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity. Pay listed does not include any shift, weekend, or other differentials.
