Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Wage: $75,000 - $90,000/year

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain CNC programs across multiple controllers used in manufacturing, tooling and maintenance

- Provide daily production support while continuously identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing practices, efficiency and product quality

- Understand manufacturing processes thoroughly to create optimal routings, select appropriate tooling and minimize machine time

- Design and implement effective work-holding solutions, including clamping, fixturing and part orientation to achieve the best results

- Create CAD models for process drawings, machining layouts, fixtures, packaging and other manufacturing aids

- Develop and maintain machine and equipment layouts to support efficient workflow

- Provide technical assistance to internal teams, external customers, sales and suppliers

- Address and resolve routing, tooling and capability issues in a timely manner

- Re-quote parts and processes as needed to ensure acceptable gross margins, accounting for changes in materials, subcontracted processes and run times

- Set up and maintain item masters, BOMs, and routings in the operating system

- Manage and document design and process changes using the company's revision control system

- Work with suppliers to procure materials, subcontracted services and tooling that meet cost, quality, and lead-time objectives

- Partner with the Quality Department on drawing interpretation, measurement methods, fixture design and issue resolution

- Support company-wide initiatives to reduce costs, improve quality and enhance manufacturing efficiency

- Provide training and knowledge transfer as required to support team and organizational development

- Demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization

Requirements for Manufacturing Engineer:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered

- Strong knowledge of materials and machining processes

- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical specifications

- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools

- Experience with SolidWorks and Esprit (or similar CAM software)

- Working knowledge of GD&T and SPC principles

- Visual Basic programming experience a plus

- Excellent mathematical, analytical and mechanical aptitude

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

- Reliable attendance and a willingness to learn new skills

- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
