ATI is seeking an MRO Buyer to join our Millersburg, Oregon facility. We are a manufacturer of technically advanced specialty materials and complex components supporting markets such as aerospace, defense, oil & gas, electrical energy, medical, automotive, and other industrial sectors. This is a day shift, on-site position (Monday-Friday) reporting to the Purchasing Director.

Position Summary

The MRO Buyer plays a key role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of maintenance, repair, and operating supplies that keep our production and facilities running efficiently. This entry-level position offers exposure to ATI's supply chain operations, providing the foundation to grow into broader procurement or supply chain roles within the company.

You will be responsible for issuing purchase orders, managing vendor communications, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining accurate procurement records. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service to internal departments.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Review and process daily purchase requisitions for MRO materials and services.
  • Create and manage purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders to understand needs, priorities, and required timelines.
  • Collaborate with approved suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues related to order status, pricing, or quality.
  • Assist with sourcing activities such as obtaining quotes, evaluating supplier options, and identifying potential cost savings.
  • Track and manage open orders to ensure supplier performance and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records in Oracle or other ERP systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain and Procurement functions.
  • Uphold ATI's high standards for safety, ethics, and operational excellence.


Basic Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a purchasing, supply chain, or administrative support role - or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with basic procurement processes and supplier interaction.


Preferred Qualifications and Skills



  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Salary Range: $53,000 to $70,000/annually +
