In this role as a Data Scientist I at our Bio-Rad location in Woodinville, WA, you will be responsible for prototyping, creating, maintaining, extending, improving, and automating complex and flexible data-driven reporting and analysis tools used by the Research and Development group and manufacturing teams in the U.S. Some of these tools already exist and use a combination of Microsoft Excel (complex workbooks with complex formulas and VBA code/macros), Windows remote applications, and web applications/APIs. We are also extending our tools' back-end in the cloud, and you could be the one helping us in this endeavor. As a Data Scientist in the Clinical Diagnostics Group, your daily activities will revolve around enhancing our existing web analysis tools and introducing new features to optimize the flow and analysis of data within our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining current web-based applications in AWS and developing new applications as project needs arise. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving healthcare and experienced in developing biological research tools and pipelines. You will play a crucial role in automating the analysis of routine experiments, developing algorithms, and performing statistical analysis of biological datasets. A strong understanding of clinical laboratory testing methods is preferred. Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $100,800 to $138,600 annually, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of the offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon the achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
