Job Summary: This position is responsible for renewing accounts, conservation account management for specified consultants and large agencies, as well as, defined strategic key accounts with 5000+ employees. This Position is accountable for establishing and maintaining relationships with key and essential face-to-face business partners. Essential Functions

Work within a team environment Lead the consultants/agents through the BCBSF process to achieve renewal goals, collateral material, proposal and rating, objection handling, enrollment/implementation, account management/retention, renewal, channel knowledge and integration Develop and manage a strategic alliance to accounts Manage and lead consultants/agents to obtain renewal goals Create consultant/agents and groups commitment to BCBSF Favorably position BCBSF by demonstrating BCBSF's value to the consultant/agency: reliability, innovation, product portfolio, negotiated discounts, service, flexibility, expansive networks/provider accessibility, and customer satisfaction Participate in or conduct information forums, as needed - Relationship Performance Cluster
Develop and implement focused tactics and programs that recognize the consultant/agency as an integral part of the customer relationship that maximizes the value of the account/business partner Establish and maintain a good relationship with consultant/agency/ key community influencers by focusing on four critical elements: trust, flexibility, service and value Determine "mode of thinking" of consultant/agency Determine consultants'/agencies' "hot buttons" Educate consultants on BCBSF renewal process, products, pricing, policies and procedures Focus on account's/consultants' needs and our ability to positively respond Act as liaison or key point of contact between account/consultant and BCBSF Manage relationship with consultant/agency to strengthen partnership with customer Build strong partnerships with individuals within and outside the sales organization who support servicing and selling of our products - Development and Administrative
Manage own Performance Cluster personal and professional development Meet with assigned groups on an as needed basis and understand the groups needs and objectives Establish contacts and enhance relationships with consultant/agency by exhibiting knowledge, technical competency, reliability and professionalism Manage time, territory, costs and administrative requirements by effectively planning and carrying out plans to ensure that support activities are achieved at reasonable cost Comply with state and regulatory requirements and corporate policies and procedures
Required Qualifications: 5+ years related work experience. Experience Details: Demonstrated, successful health insurance sales and/or retention experience with major/national accounts including thorough knowledge of the health insurance industry specifically self-funded business, agent/consultant distribution systems, and sales promotion principles. Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience 2-15 Resident Health & Life (Including Annuities & Variable Contracts) Agent License Upon Hire Demonstrated experience selling and renewing large, complex accounts. Strong leadership, negotiation and sales closure skills Proven relationship management skills Demonstrated business acumen, protocol and behaviors Preferred Education: Master's degree in a related field General Physical Demands: Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally. Physical/Environmental Activities: Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences). Annualized Salary Range: $104,000 - $169,000
Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $104,000 - $130,000
Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
