Your Impact
This role contributes to the daily experience and smooth operation of our Phoenix, Arizona office by supporting office management, colleague and visitor services, and community-building activities.
In terms of office management and maintenance, you will coordinate the maintenance of the overall physical space, including but not limited to: cleaning and stocking kitchens, conference rooms, storage areas, and copy areas. You will act as the primary contact for office maintenance requests, coordinating with building management and outside contractors for maintenance and repairs. Additionally, you will track, order, and maintain office and event supplies, including inventory management.
For colleague and visitor support, you will support front desk operations, including greeting and registering guests. You will manage and prepare keycards for new hires, provide daily badge access for McKinsey internal visitors, assist with routine keycard audits, and distribute temporary badges. You will also support workspace and room logistics, including seat and conference room reservations, as well as overall space utilization.
In the area of community building, you will co-lead ongoing community-building activities, such as colleague connection emails, weekly connectivity efforts, and more. You will assist in the planning and execution of office-wide events, monthly social gatherings, and colleague connectivity activities. You will organize and oversee large, site-wide events, social activities, and other connectivity-based efforts for location-based colleagues. Additionally, you will collaborate on and draft location-wide communications.
You will be based in our Phoenix office in Tempe, AZ, which is a community of approximately 200 colleagues across firm-services functions, including Executive Assistants and Visual Graphics & Media. As an integral and visible member of the Location Services team, you will support a diverse group of colleagues across functions, helping ensure our office runs smoothly and reflects our culture of care. This is a highly colleague-facing role with standard hours of 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. Due to the nature of the work, this position is fully on-site.

Your qualifications and skills
  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience, specific experience in facility maintenance, catering or hospitality is a plus
  • Strong customer-service orientation; desire to consistently deliver great service
  • Proven experience autonomously managing events or projects with multiple workstreams or stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience working with vendors and/or suppliers
  • Excellent organizational capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion.
  • Ability to work fully in-person
  • Ability to operate office equipment and handle transportation of materials or objects, when required
  • Ability to lift heavy furniture/items/packages (Minimum 35 lbs.)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels.

is $65,400 - $81,700 USD -to help you understand what you can expect. This reflects our best estimate of the lowest to highest

to remember that actual salaries may vary. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current
organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey's discretion
and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
