Learn more about living in mid-Missouri. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Pick up and deliver prescriptions or other supplies to residential and external business addresses. Obtain delivery confirmation signatures and communicate directly with patients, pharmacy and other MUHC staff. Operate small to medium size motor vehicles for performing transportation and delivery of prescription medications, materials and general supplies. Safely and efficiently follow delivery routes and observe all traffic and parking regulations. Operate tracking technology. Track lost or missing packages and recover/intercept abandoned commercial deliveries. Load and unload vehicle and operate a hand cart. Perform routine vehicle safety checks including observation and reporting of vehicle defects. Perform pharmacy technician related duties and other duties as assigned. May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired. Must apply prior to hire for Pharmacy Technician licensure by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. Chauffeur driver license; class E or higher for Missouri residents. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and may require ambulating, remaining in a stationary position and positioning self to reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 lbs and occasionally move objects up to 25 lbs or more. This role may also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
