Position Summary

As the aviation industry rapidly evolves, so does ground support technology. The Customer Success Manager (Sales Engineer) plays a key role in bridging the gap between traditional GSE and the advanced technologies that are transforming how our customers operate.

This role was created to ensure successful rollout, validation, and adoption of TLD's new technologies - helping customers confidently transition from legacy systems to next-generation solutions. The Sales Engineer works closely with the Sales Managers and directly with customers to evaluate applications, validate technology prior to sale, and support smooth implementation and training post-sale.

This is a dynamic, hands-on position ideal for someone with both technical understanding and customer-facing experience - a problem-solver passionate about innovation, aviation, and customer success.

Key Responsibilities

* Partner with Sales Managers to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate new technology solutions.

* Validate new technology applications prior to sale, ensuring suitability and readiness for deployment.

* Support customers through the transition from legacy systems to new technologies, including training and onboarding.

* Collaborate with Engineering, Service, and Product Development teams to provide customer feedback and field data on new product performance.

* Assist in pilot programs, product demonstrations, and technology trials at customer sites.

* Serve as a technical resource during the sales process, translating complex technical concepts into practical customer benefits.

* Support the creation and use of telemetry data centers and dashboards for real-time equipment performance tracking.

* Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives in electrification, automation, and data-driven equipment management.

* Help shape and refine the evolving scope of the role under the direction of the RCEO and Sales & Service Director.

Qualifications

Required:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering, Technical Sales, or related field (or equivalent experience).

* 3+ years of experience in technical sales, engineering, or product support, preferably in the aviation or heavy equipment industry.

* Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, automation, or vehicle technologies.

* Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.

* Hands-on problem-solving approach with a customer-first mindset.

* Willingness to travel 60% or more to customer sites as needed.

Preferred:

* Experience with telemetry systems, automation, or electric drive systems.

* Prior exposure to GSE, aviation, or material-handling industries.

* Familiarity with digital transformation and customer adoption challenges.
