LOCATION: Cedar City, UT SUMMARY: The EHS & Training Development Manager is responsible for leading the Center of Excellence location environmental, health, and safety programs, while implementing and developing comprehensive training initiatives that ensure regulatory compliance and improve employee job proficiency. This role ensures all work is performed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner and that the workforce is appropriately trained to meet all manufacturing, safety, and quality requirements. Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Occupational Health, EHS Management) from a four-year college or university, five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience implementing EHS programs in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations is required. Must have experience interpreting regulatory requirements and implementing and coordinating OSHA compliance programs. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES Candidate must possess/exhibit the following skills/abilities:
