Description

Mazak Corporation is looking for a Electrical Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering department at our Production facility in Florence, KY. This entry level position requires the capability to create and support test stands through the development of PLC programing modifications, cable assembly and electrical component drawings. This position also supports options bottlenecks and troubleshooting of electrical issues on the production floor. Workload is split between the office and working hands-on in the manufacturing facility.

Scope and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
* Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all associates.
* Supports test stand development and upgrades throughout production facility
* Supports process improvement projects throughout production facility
* Update drawings and BOMs for current production machines.
o Draft and submit Engineering Change Requests
o Complete Engineering Change Notices (ECN)
o Track ECNs into production
* Provide hands-on support throughout production facility
o Troubleshooting floor support
o Complete electronic requests for help
* Works within electrical design project budgets.
* Works as member of a project ream to complete project goals.
* Maintains and tracks personal workload.
Education/Certification:
* Bachelor's degree in an Electrical Engineering Technology field of study is preferred
Skills:
* Working knowledge of the CNC machining industry.
* Knowledge of electrical designs and design techniques in accordance with NFPA 79, NED, UL, CE standards.
* Computer literate with knowledge of computer aided design software techniques. (MS Office, 2D CAD techniques - AutoCAD preferred).
* Familiarization with industrial networking protocols such as Ethernet IP, Profibus, CC-Link.
* Experience with various programming languages such as C++, C#, Visual Basic, Python is also a plus but not required.
* Knowledge in Mitsubishi PLC programming is desirable.
* Experience with Fanuc, Allen Bradley, Siemens and Omron PLC/HMI programming desirable.
* Knowledge in circuit designs using 24VDC up to 480 VAC.
