Specializing in precision machining and metal fabrication, our Sanmina Newark, California facility has 16 years experience in both precision and large format solutions for industrial, semiconductor, clean technology and oil & gas markets. We provide comprehensive engineering and test capabilities: from in-house and hydrostatic leak-testing of medium and large format vacuum chambers to machining of precision stainless steel mechanisms. We have the capacity to machine components up to 3 meters. Our metal fabrication services include grinding, vacuum welding, heat treating, plating and anodizing. We can process many advanced materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, ferrous-nonferrous and other exotic alloys.

Job Purpose:

Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.

Nature of Duties/ Responsibilities:



  • Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.
  • Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment.
  • Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
  • Able to read and understand the schematic diagrams, blueprints, product manuals, process documents, and gather information regarding its parts, fixtures, tools, etc.
  • To set up, arrange, and operate equipment as per the specifications and instructions from the supervisor
  • To assemble parts or components to build a whole new product
  • To contribute in fitting, building, or reconstruction of various parts to ensure smooth process of component amalgamation
  • To perform regular test and inspection procedures to ensure that the product is formed in accordance with the specifications


Education & Experience:



  • Requires a minimum of 4 years related experience of production and technical knowledge.
  • High school diploma and college courses preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work load to meet strict deadlines under supervision
  • Read and understand prints and drawings.


This is an ITAR facility and applicants must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

Salary Range (annual): ($26.00 - $30.00 per hour) . Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
