Now Hiring Supplier Management Specialist

Location: Dearborn, MI

Schedule: In office | 5 days per week

Pay: $46.06 per hour

What You'll Do



  • Draft and manage engineering Statements of Work (eSOWs) detailing project expectations for suppliers.
  • Plan and manage core hardware and software (HW/SW) releases, including vehicle-specific application releases.
  • Coordinate change control and issue management for all software release activities.
  • Cascade and manage technical requirements with suppliers through to sign-off.
  • Author and manage GPDS deliverables, including:

    • DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis)
    • External & Internal SCCAF (Special Characteristics Communication and Agreement Forms)
    • VSCS (Vehicle Specific Configuration Specification)
    • NID (Network Interface Document)
    • DVP&R (Design Verification Plan and Report)


  • Conduct integration testing within CGEA1.3C architecture.
  • Support engineering and launch activities to ensure successful product delivery.



Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical or business field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar technical release or systems engineering role.
  • Proven experience managing external suppliers, including drafting and negotiating SOWs.
  • Strong technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience in hardware and software release planning, including change control and issue resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage technical requirements and ensure supplier compliance.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with automotive product development processes (Ford GPDS experience strongly preferred).
  • Knowledge of automotive electrical architectures, CAN protocols, and network interface design.
  • Hands-on experience testing hardware/software in a bench or vehicle environment.
  • Familiarity with Ford systems such as WERS and IVS.
  • Background in hardware systems design or electronic module integration.
