As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Desk in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be stationed at a prominent healthcare location, serving as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and patients. In this armed position, you will help to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and strong communication skills, while providing outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or patients by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the front desk of a healthcare facility.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and assisting with visitor and/or patient check-in as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Document and report all security-related activities, observations, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Assist with emergency response activities, including providing information and direction to visitors, patients, and/or staff during incidents.
• Work in a professional and courteous manner, maintaining a visible presence at the front desk and helping to deter unauthorized access or disruptive behavior.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
