Job Description: Genesis10 is currently seeking a Test Lead with our client in the utility industry located in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 1-year contract position. This role is hybrid, 3 days onsite. Can also be fully remote if not local. Compensation: $65 - $75 per hour W2, depending on skill and experience level. Project Overview The Test Lead III will provide primary support for the ADERMS Aggregator Virtual Power Plant (AVPP) project. This role leads all functional testing activities-specifically SIT and UAT-and ensures the quality, accuracy, and completeness of project deliverables. Key Responsibilities Test Leadership & Execution Develop, execute, and manage SIT and UAT test cases. Lead and facilitate daily (or twice-daily) testing meetings. Oversee testing resources and maintain an organized, accurate JIRA workspace. Track, monitor, and report test progress to project managers and senior leadership. Collaboration & Communication Partner closely with PMs, Client, architects, SMEs, clients, and vendors. Maintain dashboards and contribute to overall project team activities. Team & Stakeholders Cross-functional team including PM, BA, architect, SMEs, and additional testers. Engagement with both internal stakeholders and external software vendors. Top Skills & Qualifications Requires 7-10+ years of relevant experience. Exceptional communication skills and strong executive presence. Proven experience leading meetings and presenting updates to leadership. Advanced JIRA experience (setup, configuration, tracking, and reporting). Solid understanding of Waterfall methodologies. Experience in utilities is a plus. Strong test case writing and execution skills (no automation or scripting required). Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Soft Skills Resilient, adaptable, and collaborative. Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to navigate conflict and drive resolution. Takes initiative; thrives as a self-starter. Preferred Background Experience in large, complex enterprise environments. Background in regulated or process-heavy industries (e.g., Healthcare, MedTech, Utilities).
