Maintenance Mechanic - JLL

What this job involves:

The Maintenance Mechanic provides support for assigned buildings. This role has responsibilities which include preventive maintenance (PM), emergency response, general maintenance, carpentry, plumbing and HVAC system maintenance. The Maintenance Mechanic must be able to perform the repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various building operational components independently and with team support.

What your day-to-day will look like:*

  • Safety and Compliance - Follow all safety policies, complete required safety training, maintain strict attention to detail, and recognize/eliminate safety hazards.

  • Preventive and Corrective Maintenance - Perform ongoing maintenance work orders on mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems using CMMS work order system for timely completion.

  • General Building Repairs - Handle minor repairs including ceiling/carpet/floor tiles, basic plumbing (unclogging drains, water leaks), HVAC (filter/belt changes), and electrical (lamp replacement).

  • Facility Operations - Conduct facility rounds, report building conditions, enter work orders, escort vendors, and support after-hours building activities as needed.

  • Customer Service - Provide best-in-class service to tenants and agencies with professional communication, timely follow-through, and minimal disruption during work.

  • Technical Skills - Use Microsoft Office, CMMS systems, computer/smartphone technology; diagnose defects and maintain building equipment; emergency response within 45 minutes.

  • Physical and Team Requirements - Lift 50+ pounds, work in various positions and surfaces, participate in on-call rotation, work as team player with strong communication skills and self-starter attitude.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have and maintain a valid Tennessee Driver's License.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1-3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic HVAC, basic plumbing and/or basic electrical.

  • Licenses as required by authority having jurisdiction

Location:

Onsite Nashville, TN

Work Shift:

Monday to Friday (7am to 330pm) with the occasional on call as needed.

Salary/ Comp:

40,900.00 - 50,100.00 Annual
