Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite for our client in Ontario, CA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Under broad supervision of HRBP/HR Manager, this role ensures employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with company policies, CBA requirements, and legal regulations.
  • Primary responsibilities will include performing data entry, timecard verification, and responding to employee inquiries pertaining to payroll.
  • Conduct daily entry of payroll data into Kronos system for up to 250 employees
  • Handle employee requests and queries regarding pay professionally and in a timely manner
  • Perform audit of timecard entries and efficiently correct any issues identified prior to payroll processing
  • Develop and carry out an efficient documentation and filing system, to include reporting to support Finance team
  • Updating systems and reporting to reflect changes to payroll, to include CBA rate changes, updates to withholdings.
  • Keep updated with changes to Collective Bargaining Agreements
  • Coordination with Operations Leadership & Crew Management to validate employee payroll claims

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 /hr

Hours: 40 hrs / Week

Length: Temporary (6 months)

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 4 years of Payroll experience in KRONOS/UKG
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Payroll or HR administrator position.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in MS Office and working in Excel.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in verbal and written business correspondence in English.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge of HR, to include Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Previous experience with a railroad or other transportation industry.
  • Must be able to execute administrative tasks with competent, dynamic and friendly skills.
  • Good administrative* IT* organizational and communication skills and a proactive 'can-do' attitude.
