Senior Advanced Systems Engineer

ACARA Solutions and our client in Scottsdale, AZ have 4 contract to hire position available

• As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer - Tracking Systems Engineer, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system.
• Collaborate with customers, mission partners, and other key stakeholders to translate requirements into robust system designs within a fast-moving timeline
• Decomposition of end-to-end system requirements into architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases
• Coordination with developers and integration and test teams to ensure component development meets system mission needs
• Participate in technical design reviews and provide systems-level oversight across the full development lifecycle.
• Contribute to system verification and validation activities to ensure system compliance with mission and performance requirements.
• Support documentation and configuration management to maintain traceability throughout the system development process.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics with 8 years of experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with Ground system design or scheduling
• Minimum 8 years of experience with tracking mission design
• Minimum 8 years of experience with Satellite communications
• Minimum 8 years of experience with Ground to Satellite communication
• Minimum 8 years of experience with System/Software design for cloud-based micro service architecture

Preferred Skills:

• Master's Degree
• Agile experience.
• Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, design behavior with emphasis.
• Experience in decomposing the high-level space-ground systems design into ground software/systems design
• Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as CAMEO or MagicDraw
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modelling
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment
• Background in simulation and modelling analysis with tools like STK, particularly in aerospace applications
• Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the systems development life cycle
• Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
• Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
• Good presentation and communication skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions
• Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
