About the Role Lead our retail operations as Director of Retail Operations, where you'll oversee a comprehensive network of stores, warehouse operations, and work therapy programs. This senior leadership role combines strategic retail management, operational excellence, and mission-driven work to support The Salvation Army's rehabilitation programs and community impact.  Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership 
 
 
 Manage staff and resources with integrity and fiscal accountabilitySupport budget preparation and daily management of center operationsReview finance and sales reports daily/weekly with accuracy oversightGuide departments to work within approved budgets
 
 Operations & Production Management 
 
 
 Oversee all product donation pickup and store delivery operationsManage warehouse production for maximum efficiency and cost controlDevelop and implement product control procedures to prevent shrinkageCoordinate with vendors for rag and bulk sales to maximize profitabilityMaintain records on product acquisition, production, and sales trends
 
 Store Operations Leadership 
 
 
 Oversee comprehensive store operations across multiple locationsParticipate in sales forecasting and strategic planningLead monthly manager meetings and develop marketing strategiesCollaborate with leadership team on expansion and contraction opportunities
 
 Property & Equipment Management 
 
 
 Oversee preventative maintenance of all center properties and equipmentEnsure compliance with OSHA Safety Guidelines and TSA policiesManage ARC fleet in accordance with Federal and State regulationsControl property, utility, and supply waste while managing repairsGather bids and coordinate property projects
 
 Team Leadership & Development 
 
 
 Supervise Regional Retail Manager, Store Managers, Warehouse Manager, Transportation Supervisor, and Maintenance staffHandle recruiting, interviewing, hiring recommendations, and trainingConduct annual personnel reviews and oversee time/attendance managementSupport corrective actions and ensure HR policy compliance
 
 What You'll Need to Succeed Education & Experience 
 
 
 Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or industrial arts preferredFive years of industry experience including production scheduling, supervision, and recruitmentEquivalent combination of education and experience considered
 
 Required Certifications 
 
 
 Valid driver's license and qualification to drive TSA vehiclesForklift certification required (trainer certification preferred)
 
 Essential Skills 
 
 
 Strong English communication skills for leadership and personnel interactionsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skillsProblem-solving abilities and excellent people development skillsAbility to work flexible schedule including early/late shifts, Saturdays, and some holidays

 Working Conditions Work is performed in warehouse/office/store environments with moderate noise levels. Full-time position requiring weekend and evening hours as needed.
