Gannett Media Solutions is looking for a Sr. Brand Manager with extensive experience in marketing and media planning to drive revenue growth and execute advertising plans for top-tier brand partners. This role involves managing enterprise-level accounts with multimillion-dollar marketing budgets and working directly with c-suite executives, agencies and franchise groups to enhance marketing tactics and deliver measurable results.
As an individual contributor, you will focus on strategic advisory, campaign analysis, and client relationship development. Collaborating cross-functionally with product, client services, and sales operations teams, you will deliver integrated marketing solutions across search, SEO, social, display, and other digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales for multimedia marketing solutions across national, enterprise and multi-location businesses.
- Define brand strategy and deliver measurable growth in product and revenue adoption.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with regional and national brands.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client conventions.
- Create and manage custom marketing campaigns supporting multi-channel strategies.
- Analyze campaign performance, assess ROI and KPIs, and shape future strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop client proposals and performance reports.
- Execute marketing and sales support plans aligned with regional and corporate strategies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience & Expertise
- 5+ years media sales experience or 3+ years digital media sales for multi-location, agency or enterprise accounts.
- 3+ years working in an agency environment managing multi-location accounts is a plus.
- Proven success in revenue retention, new business development, and marketing expansion.
- Proven experience managing high-value accounts and communicating with C-suite stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of digital advertising platforms and tech stacks such as:
- Google Ads (Ad Words), GA4, Meta Ads Manager, Big Query, Power BI, GDS or Looker Studio
- Ability to interpret data performance using Excel or BI tools.
- Experience developing data visualizations in Excel Workbooks and/or Power BI.
Strategic & Analytical Skills
- Strong understanding of advertising strategy, consumer insights, and data-driven marketing and how to use data to understand client performance metrics.
- Skilled in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience in campaign performance analysis and strategic planning.
Communication & Storytelling
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present complex marketing concepts and performance narratives to executive audiences.
- Comfortable leading monthly & quarterly business reviews and strategic planning sessions.
Client Relationship Management
- Experience in account management and client service for multi-location and/or national brands.
- Ability to identify strategic gaps and recommend solutions for distressed accounts.
Performance Metrics
- Timely and professional collaboration with internal/external teams.
- Ability to drive urgency and meet client commitments.
- Identification of product diversification and revenue expansion opportunities.
- Strategic remediation for accounts lacking direction.

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $43,000and $85,000. Variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and union representation, if applicable.
