DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Cleans, breaks down, and stores laboratory equipment, facilities, and supplies after completion of laboratory exercises as required. Transports laboratory materials and/or specimens to and from other laboratories, as required. Prepares standard equipment, facilities, and/or solutions for laboratory experiments, in accordance with detailed procedures and instructions. Collects, logs, and compiles research data in accordance to pre-established protocol and procedural parameters. Sets up, operates, and maintains a variety of standard laboratory instrumentation as required for the individual research project. Clerical duties to include inventory/ordering of laboratory supplies, filing, and library searches. May assist with field research. Other job related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Equivalencies not found for this position Preferred Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: At least one semester of relevant course work Knowledge of specified laboratory solutions, materials and/or media Knowledge of cleaning procedures and specifications of specified laboratory equipment and/or facilities Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards Computer literacy, with proficiency in Excel, Word, and research using the Internet To be successful in this role, you need to be safety conscious and detail-oriented Sophomore or Junior in related major Minimum GPA 2.5 preferred Application Instructions Only applications submitted through the official UNMJobs site will be accepted.
