As Marketing Communications Intern for Onshape, you will work closely with the MarCom team to assist with various marketing initiatives aimed at increasing event participation, enhancing media presence, and measuring branding efforts. You will also gain hands-on experience in webinar coordination, content creation, and partnership development within the tech industry.

Key Responsibilities

* Support end-to-end event planning and logistics for tradeshows, user groups, executive dinners, and other marketing events

* Assist in writing and editing press materials, abstracts, speaker bios, and other PR-related content for conferences and media opportunities

* Draft event invitations, post-show summaries, social posts, and email copy in alignment with brand tone and messaging

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, DG, and TS) to ensure consistent event communication and deliverables

* Help track and analyze event performance metrics - registrations, attendance rates, leads, cost per lead, and ROI

* Maintain and update the Marketing Events Calendar and asset libraries

* Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and event best practices

* Provide onsite or virtual event support, ensuring smooth execution and timely troubleshooting

Must-Haves

* Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field

* Exceptional written communication and editing skills - ability to write clearly, concisely, and persuasively

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

* High level of initiative, accountability, and problem-solving ability - comfortable troubleshooting and working both as a team and independently

* Analytical mindset; comfortable working in Excel or Google Sheets for reporting and tracking metrics

* Team-oriented, personable, and eager to learn in a collaborative environment

* Excellent attention to detail and time management

Nice-to-Haves

* Familiarity with public relations and branding fundamentals

* Experience writing abstracts, press releases, or media submissions

* Prior event planning or coordination experience (on-campus or professional)

* Proficiency with Salesforce, Eloqua, Canva, or Asana

* Experience with social media content creation or analytics

* Interest in technology, SaaS, or product design industries

PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated average hourly rate for this position is $32/hour. This rate reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's major, degree currently being pursued and location.
