Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Provide structural engineering and consulting services across a wide range of projects and clients. Responsibilities may include conducting and/or leading field investigations, performing engineering analyses and calculations, and developing recommendations. You will also design and prepare plans and specifications, oversee observation and inspection activities, and write, review, and finalize related technical reports.

Additional duties include reviewing drawings for compliance, preparing proposals and cost estimates, monitoring budgets, resolving design challenges, analyzing lab and field data, and communicating technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Services may be provided for existing or proposed projects in diverse sectors, including public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, and industrial.


Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Independently manage structural engineering projects from proposal through to construction for projects of small and medium size and complexity.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work with other team members.
  • Perform destructive and non-destructive testing on existing structures.
  • Perform quality control review of proposals, reports, drawings, and designs prepared by others.
  • Evaluate and build complex laboratory, field data, and structural analysis models.
  • Serve as a technical adviser to junior-level structural team members.
  • Interact directly with Clients and project teams on developing scope of services, communicating project progress and design recommendations.
  • Write and prepare routine and complex engineering reports, specifications, and construction drawings.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5-8 years' experience.
  • Master's degree in engineering preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
