Job Summary:
The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards (OSCCS) is responsible for managing the student misconduct process at UW-Madison. This process is governed by three chapters of Wisconsin administrative law that apply to all UW campuses and students (Chapters 14, 17, and 18). OSCCS is seeking an Administrator to serve as the first point of contact for the office. This person will communicate with students, faculty, staff, parents/guardians, alumni, attorneys, and the public through various channels, including in-person, email, telephone, text, and our Maxient database. To be successful in this role, the Administrator must handle a wide range of situations with patience and understanding. It is essential to manage sensitive student information appropriately, maintaining a high level of confidentiality as required by federal and state laws. This position is ideal for someone who can maintain an in-depth knowledge of OSCCS services to resolve and document requests and escalate urgent issues to the appropriate OSCCS staff while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. OSCCS is responsible for addressing student academic and nonacademic misconduct; this responsibility is separate from and independent of any civil or criminal action resulting from a student's conduct. Compensation:The expected minimum starting salary for this position is $50,000.00 annually. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
