Payroll Accountant - Cheshire, CT

Responsibilities:

• Prepares monthly and annual reconciliations and financial reports for assigned areas to ensure compliance with various statutory requirements, generally accepted accounting principles, and established policies and procedures in a complex accounting system.
• Creates reports for corporate leadership and executives and internal and external auditors.
• Calculates and distributes Joint Venture billing.
• Reconciles international billing.
• Assists with budget/forecasting process regarding payroll and benefits.
• Performs reconciliations and detailed audits to ensure accurate processing of compensation.
• Resolve day-to-day operational problems of varied scope and complexity.
• Maintains international processes and procedures including preparing payroll entries, gross-ups, reconciling W-2s, W-2cs, tax payments, working with outside consulting firm and international employees.
• Ensures all costs related to international ventures are appropriately reflected in the general ledger and job cost system.
• Provides exemplary customer service to Lane'sinternational employees by being the primary point of contact to analyze and explain all components related to international compensation and taxation.
• Performs other duties as assigned
