Value stream processes include tandem extrusion, adhesive lamination, flexographic and rotogravure printing, slitting and various auxiliary processes. WHAT YOU GET TO DO 
 Acts as a safety leader and demonstrates by complying with all safety rules, policies, regulations and procedures; participating in safety programs, audits and encouraging employee involvement from all employees in all safety activities. Supports all written safety programs and safety training.Assists the manufacturing department in facilitating quality improvements in department on waste, claims and productivity deficiencies by engaging the team in root cause analysis, improvement action implementation and sustainment by utilizing the control plan.Monitors and leads improvements in production deficiencies (crewing, run speeds and set up). Utilizes Team Champions, DMAIC and visual management system to drive improvements.Manage the process control audit program which ensures compliance to standard work and best practicesManage productivity improvements through the use of RCO events as well as completing Greenbelt/Kaizen projects annually focusing on projects that impact departments focus on Safety, Waste, Claim, Set-up and ProductivityConducts periodic follow-ups, to determine that designed output, quality and procedures are being met on new or modified equipmentDrives machine center improvements through the use of the CI process as well as ensuring visual management is active and in use throughout the plantReviews the machine production schedules daily to identify potential operating problems or concerns and communicates this information to supervisors and/or operating personnelParticipates in incident investigations for near misses, injuries and/or property damage that occur in the functional areasSupports continuous improvement initiatives with manufacturing and productivity data to identify project teams as well as supply project teams with data necessary to determine KPI's and loss improvement valuesDrive process and productivity improvements in all production departmentsDeliver machine center improvements through the use of the CI processIn conjunction with the leadership team, create an environment of accountability, empowerment and ownership for all hourly associates within the departmentMonitors daily production downtime issues and addresses major problems with production scheduling and maintenance department to resolve and prevent recurrenceSupports capital projects and process improvements by evaluating data, providing analysis and ensuring performance post install/implementationProvides production efficiency and waste analysis at a production order, machine, department and plant level.  OurExpectationsAn Undergraduate degree in a technical field is preferred.A minimum of five years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.Lean six sigma certification, or the ability to quickly obtain said certification at or above a Green Belt level.Advanced knowledge of manufacturing techniques, policies and procedures for the department.Advanced problem solving tools including Green Belt CertificationAdvanced leadership skills including written, verbal and group presentation skills.Working knowledge of the operations planning system including familiarity with all inventory drivers.
