Operations Support Coordinator, Plant Ops

Tesla's Plant Ops department is looking for an Operations Support Coordinator for Fremont, CA location. This position will be on-site and will involve a high level of customer interaction with production, engineering, maintenance, and external teams. The ideal candidate should have leadership skills, efficient and clear communication, and a customer support focused attitude. This role is pivotal in maintaining facility uptime through effective resource allocation, emergency response, and logistical support. To succeed in this role, you should be organized, responsive, and detail oriented.

• Lead the dispatch center and lobbies across multiple locations, prioritizing and dispatching work orders and alarms for maintenance, repairs, and facility issues in real-time
• Ensure proper use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for the department. This includes submitting work orders, monitoring and validating data inputs, and standardizing training and work processes
• Lead and mentor a team of dispatchers and lobby receptionists, ensuring high standards of service and operational efficiency, foster a collaborative team environment, and encourage continuous improvement and growth
• Perform as a top-level dispatcher to maintain resourcing support
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to respond to emergencies, including breakdowns, safety hazards, or environmental issues, and ensure quick and effective resolution
• Coordinate with production managers to align dispatch and maintenance activities with production schedules and downtime windows

• Previous related experience with dispatching, coordination, and documentation
• Excellent interpersonal, communications, and customer service skills
• High proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office applications (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Previous experience with leading individuals and bringing exceptional employees together
• Ability to condense complex issues and present to leadership in a clear and concise manner
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working across and successfully influencing multiple internal stakeholders
