Role Summary
We're looking for a legal professional with strong banking or financial industry expertise to join our in-house legal team. In this role, you'll advise business leaders, manage legal risks, and guide compliance with policies, procedures, and federal and state regulations. You'll have the opportunity to partner with senior leadership and grow your career while protecting the bank's long-term success.

Key Accountabilities

  • Advise business lines on legal issues, contracts, and day-to-day matters.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret third party agreements.
  • Monitor changes in state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Partner with leaders to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with outside counsel to ensure quality and cost control.
  • Support organizational transactions by overseeing legal aspects.
  • Collaborate with Senior Counsel, vendor management and procurement professionals, and subject matter experts as needed.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • JD and License to Practice Law by start date
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years as an attorney with a practice focused on complex commercial and technology agreements

Preferred:

  • Experience collaborating with cross functional groups
  • Experience supervising outside counsel
  • Experience with data privacy, artificial intelligence, and/or outsourcing
