Classification: Non-Exempt Salary Range: $16.00/hr Date: December 2024 We are seeking a Dry Ice Plant Operator to join our team! This position will assist with tasks such as production, packaging of dry ice, shipping preparation, and loading/unloading products in commercial trucks. Essential Functions Produce, load and package dry ice on a daily basis in accordance with quality standards Operates dry ice machine, packaging machine, forklift and/or pallet jack daily to maneuver and load dry ice boxes on the production floor and trailers Learns and complies with all safety and quality policies and procedures Cleanup work areas including, but not limited to sweeping, painting, trash removal, and pick-up Participates in continuous improvement efforts A team builder with the ability to lead and motivate diverse management and hourly staff and build a positive employee relations culture and work environment Skills and Qualifications Knowledge of internal policies and procedures. Competent to work independently within the area of expertise. Ability to solve quality-related problems. Ability to deal with a variety of compliance situations and implement continuous improvement. Knows and follows all safety requirements; strives to maintain a safe work environment. Must be able to function within a team environment. Assist as directed on ad hoc projects. High School degree or equivalent preferred. Food Service experience preferred High degree of integrity and openness in reporting responsibilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Supervisory Responsibility This position has non-supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. The facility is widely refrigerated, and work is required inside refrigerated processing areas. Physical Demands The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and stand for long periods and reach with hands and arm. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time exempt position in a 24/7/365 work environment. Flexibility with weekdays, evenings and weekend required.
