Classification: Non-Exempt Salary Range: $24.75/hr Reports to: Transportation Manager Date: December 2024 This position is responsible for assisting the Driver in every aspect of product delivery to and from aircrafts or other locations in an efficient and safe manner by following all company procedures. Essential Functions Load Catering Vehicle according to off loading specifications Ensure airline is correctly catered and all equipment is in place Load and unload aircraft in a safe and efficient manner Off load vehicles at facility to ensure efficient processing of airline equipment Verify meal carts based on Flight configuration Verify flight for completeness to ensure your carts are complete Monitor temperatures of carts to ensure HACCP compliance Work with dispatcher for airline times and flight schedules Drive safely to ensure no accidents occur Follow Airport transportation driving rules for speed limits and safety Conduct vehicle checks to ensure proper maintenance of vehicle Report all vehicle repairs on transportation log and to management Ensure proper operation of vehicle when loading and unloading aircraft In-house flight verification only Skills and Qualifications Minimum 5 years' experience in the aircraft field operations experience Good understanding of aircraft galleys and In-Flight Catering Customs seal requirement and TSA. Ability to work as a team member. Able to lift, push and pull at least 50 lbs. Bilingual, Spanish & English required Ability to work flexible hours, any day of the week Class B License Other duties may be assigned Supervisory Responsibility This position has non-supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in an outdoor environment assisting with the loading and unloading of products. The job can be physically demanding and may require working in various weather conditions. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and stand for long periods of time; and reach with hands and arms. Employee may work outside in extreme weather. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. The facility operates 24 hours, 365 days. Must be willing to work any shift, days off as assigned by plant leadership.
