Classification: Non-Exempt Storeroom Supervisor to supervise all activities of a storeroom to include storage, control, and issuance of materials and equipment. Assist inthe development of storeroom policies, practices, and procedures.
and related factors of items stored. * Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining; and related problems. Studies record and recommend remedial actions for reported non usable, low-moving, and excess stock. * Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine the adequacy of stock levels. Schedules work for special and periodic inventories. * Traces the history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies. * Monitors and ensures that the receiving areas, warehouse, and storeroom are always kept Secure and audit ready at all times. * Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow. * Issues are written and oral instruction. * Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. * Studies and standardized procedures to improve the efficiency of subordinates. * Leads team of hourly employees and supervisors. Acts as the subject matter expert for SAGE. * Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. * Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as portions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. * Good communication skills written and verbal. * Possess a driver's license, and ability to obtain airport badging. * Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) Eatec, SAGE Supervisory Responsibility: This position has supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment: This job operates in a food manufacturing environment and this position will routinely use standard office equipment. Ability to work in hot, cold, and freezing environments. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time exempt position. Hours of work may vary depending on the needs of the business.
