Position Summary

The Regional Account Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing sales and marketing strategies designed to increase revenue and brand awareness across assigned theatre locations. This role focuses on theatre rentals, group sales, food and beverage (F&B) sales, and related promotional initiatives. The Regional Account Manager is accountable for achieving or exceeding revenue goals by identifying opportunities, prospecting new business, coordinating with operations, film, accounting, and marketing teams, and ensuring successful event execution.

This role requires strong organizational, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to leverage multiple media platforms to effectively deliver marketing messages that drive client engagement, sales growth, and business results.

This role reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Content Strategy, Sales, Research & Development, and Guest Service and works in close collaboration with the District Directors and designated sales and marketing team members. This manager will have direct reports.

Essential Functions and Duties

Theatre Rentals & Group Sales

* Maximize theatre space utilization through private, corporate, and community rental opportunities.

* Develop, manage, and maintain a comprehensive rental and group sales database, cultivating strong relationships with guests, businesses, community partners, and studios.

* Prospect and secure rental and group sales opportunities through multiple sales channels to drive attendance and revenue.

* Create and execute targeted action plans leveraging convention calendars, school schedules, film release dates, and other resources. This includes market analysis to understand regional trends and competitor offerings to generate a sales strategy.

* Coordinate closely with operations teams to ensure seamless event execution, client satisfaction, and repeat business. Proactively anticipate client needs and deliver effective solutions to complex challenges.

* Partner with studios to secure advanced screenings and film-related events, enhancing the theatre's visibility and community presence.

* Prospect, secure, and drive food and beverage sales for theatres and other trademark brands within the theatre division, while directing the planning and execution of banquet and catering promotions using standardized menus.

* Identify and develop opportunities for theatres, including ancillary streams such as gaming rentals, audiovisual presentations, lease agreements, independent film festivals, and sales products, while creating innovative solutions to drive additional client and business growth.

This role directly contributes to revenue growth, brand visibility, and long-term client relationships.

Revenue, Marketing, & Community Partnerships

* Drive awareness and attendance by partnering with the Film Department, studios, and community organizations to promote key film initiatives.

* Align marketing strategies with operational goals and theatre management to optimize campaigns and sales opportunities.

* Identify and leverage local media and promotional channels to maximize brand exposure and revenue potential.

* Represent the company in community outreach, events, and special projects to strengthen relationships and drive business growth.

* Apply strategic thinking, creativity, and adaptability to meet deadlines, navigate changing priorities, and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

* Actively participate in marketing and sales development calls to identify new prospects and enhance departmental performance.

Operational Accountability

* Oversee an internal team, fostering focus, accountability, and a positive work environment while driving attention to client needs and supporting the overall sales process.

* Proactively take ownership of responsibilities, keeping leadership informed through regular updates while independently driving projects forward and identifying opportunities for collaboration.

* Demonstrates emotional intelligence to build positive relationships with corporate staff, theatre managers, theatre associates, vendors, and community partners, fostering collaboration and achieving project and event goals.

* Ability to adapt to unfamiliar processes and situations with minimal review/supervision.

* Ensure accuracy in accounting practices, close events efficiently, and review gross revenue to maintain financial integrity and support informed business decisions.

* Updates job and industry knowledge through continuing education, professional organizations, conferences, training seminars, software training sessions, product demonstrations, and management courses, leveraging learning opportunities to enhance skills and expertise.

Job Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Business, or a related field; or commensurate experience.

* Position is based within the assigned territory or corporate office to manage client relationships and drive regional sales initiatives efficiently.

* Three to four (3-4) years of sales and marketing experience, preferably with entertainment or hospitality exposure.

* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including editing and proofreading.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook.

* Experience with CRM software (Salesforce), email marketing platforms, lead generation tools, and online databases to drive sales and client engagement.

* Proven ability to achieve or exceed assigned sales targets.

* Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends; ability to travel 15-30% within the assigned region or to the corporate office.

* Protect company assets and information by adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards.

* Perform additional duties as assigned to support company objectives.

Physical Requirements

* Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and use of hands to handle or touch objects, tools, or controls.

* Occasional standing and walking.

* Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

* Specific vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

* Work is performed in an office or theatre environment, with occasional travel.

* Noise levels range from low to moderate, with occasional loud environments.
