Software Engineer-Hybrid-San Mateo At Arena, a PTC Business, we help high-tech manufacturers and medical device companies create products that change the world. Our cloud-based product lifecycle management (PLM) and quality management (QMS) software is used by leading product innovators like Nutanix, Bio-Rad, Sonos, Teleflex, and Citrix. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Prototype user interfaces based on design mockups for new features. Translate prototypes into high-quality, production-ready code. Enhance and maintain the Web and Application layers of Arena SaaS applications. Document and clearly communicate design decisions and implementation details. Preferred Skills & Knowledge: Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and bugs. Collaborate with QA to define test plans based on functional requirements. Participate in cross-functional team activities including requirements analysis, technical design, and code reviews. Preferred Experience: Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable web application code. Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and DOM manipulation. Hands-on experience with React; familiarity with AngularJS/Angular or Vue is a plus. Solid understanding of browser compatibility and responsive design. Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences. Basic Qualifications: 2+ years of experience developing multi-tiered web applications, ideally in a SaaS environment. Proficient in verbal and written communication. Experience with Java or another object-oriented programming language; familiarity with the Spring framework is a plus. Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL. Ability to work hybrid 2-3 days a week in our San Mateo office. PTC carefully considers a wide range of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $112,000 - 135,000. The anticipated annual salary range encompasses both the base salary and the on-target incentive compensation that may be attained in this role. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Eligible employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP) which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
