MTSI is seeking a results-driven
Critical Product Support Program Manager
to lead the sustainment and lifecycle support efforts for advanced air platform systems. This role focuses on managing key support processes, ensuring operational readiness, and aligning logistics, maintenance, and product sustainment to meet mission and program objectives. As the leader for product support, you will oversee critical-path sustainment efforts and ensure systems and components remain reliable and operationally effective throughout their lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Program Management for Product Support:
- Develop and execute sustainment plans for mission-critical air platform systems, ensuring optimal reliability and operational readiness.
- Lead budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning for product lifecycle support activities.
- Manage logistics, spares inventory, and maintenance plans while considering cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
- Sustainment Operations Leadership:
- Coordinate with engineering, logistics, and production teams to ensure seamless product lifecycle transitions from development to operational use.
- Oversee depot-level support, field repairs, and operational readiness rates to align with mission objectives.
- Critical Path Management:
- Identify high-demand or mission-critical product support needs and lead efforts to resolve bottlenecks or system failures quickly and effectively.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for sustainment operations to ensure uninterrupted mission availability of air platform systems.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure sustainment and support activities meet aerospace and DoD standards, including MIL-STD specifications and ISO standards.
- Monitor adherence to safety, quality, and compliance requirements for deployed systems.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Provide regular updates to program stakeholders, detailing logistics readiness, sustainment metrics, and lifecycle performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation related to lifecycle support plans, repair procedures, and system readiness reporting.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Logistics, Business Management, or related technical field
- 12+ years of experience in program management, product sustainment, or logistics planning within aerospace or defense sectors.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) principles and processes.
- Knowledge of logistics, spares management, repair processes, and supply chain operations for defense systems.
- Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.
Desired
- 15+ years of experience in program management, product sustainment, or logistics planning within aerospace or defense sectors.
- Certifications validating expertise in program management, sustainment, and logistics:
- Project Management Professional (PMP): For managing complex product support efforts effectively.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification: Helps optimize support processes and improve efficiency.
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM): Expertise in supply chain and procurement strategies.
- Certified Logistics Associate (CLA): For managing logistics and repair operations effectively.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE): Ensures quality assurance in sustainment procedures.
- Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Certification: Strengthens expertise in logistics and lifecycle sustainment for defense programs.
- Experience with logistics and sustainment tools such as Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Total Asset Visibility (TAV), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD frameworks and Risk Management Framework (RMF) for secure sustainment operations.
- Knowledge of advanced air platform technologies such as propulsion systems, avionics, and low-observability materials.
