Job Description: Airbus Robotics is looking for a Mechanical Technician 3 to join our Production team based in Mukilteo, WA. Hourly rate: $29.33-$34.95 based on applicant profile. Your challenges: Mechanical Duties 90%
- Build complex mechanical assemblies with or without written work instructions within established time frames and processes with a high degree of accuracy and quality
- View and comprehend CAD models, recommend design changes as needed to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
- Perform repair work for any quality defect created during mechanical assembly
- Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on internal test assets
- Perform repairs on any machine or module that comes back for repair from customer
- Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures
- Maintain production equipment and tools
- Work with Engineering and Quality to ensure products are built to specification and with high quality
- Complete quality control production reports and sign-off sheets to ensure high quality production processes and output
- Contribute to technical and quality reports or other documentation. This includes but is not limited to work instructions and QA sign-off sheets, for use by engineering staff, management, or customers
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Additional Responsibilities: Quality Control 5%:
- Submitting NCR when abnormal conditions arise
- Frequently documents progress on issues. This includes but is not limited: to work instructions, Jira tickets and QA sign-off sheets, for use by engineering staff, management, or customers
- Work with Engineering and Quality to ensure products are built to specification and with high quality across both mechanical and electrical assembly processes
Documentation 5%:
- Process documentation including but not limited to: consulting on work instructions, documenting best practices and standard operating procedures
- Redline engineering instructions (drawings, installation plans, schematics, etc.) as needed to ensure quality and efficiency of assembly

- Combination of High School and applicable experience
Experience: Required
- 3+ years in professional manufacturing assembly or machine, vehicle, appliance, or electronics maintenance and repair environment
- Advanced assembly experience with metallic and composite materials
- Advanced knowledge of sensors, motors, springs, bearings, and tolerances
- Knowledge of station safety, quality (clean as you go/FOD) and OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of lean principles & best practices
- Proficient with hand and power tools including but not limited to: screw drivers, hex keys, wrenches, torque wrench, plyers, ratchet and socket set, power drill, impact drivers, grinder
- Ability to read, analyze & interpret documents, such as procedure manuals, installation guides, 3D models
- Detail-oriented with strong hand-eye coordination
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities: Identifying and resolving issues effectively and making sound judgments
- Ability & willingness to travel domestically and internationally to customer sites when needed (5% - 10%)
Physical Requirements:
- Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions
- Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals
- Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification
- Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment
- Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 55lbs/25kg while engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects
- Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 55lbs/25kg
- Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas
- Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings
- Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves
- Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information
- Travel: ability & willingness to travel domestically and internationally to customer sites when needed (5% - 10%)
- Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces
- Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
