The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University invites applications for the position of Associate Director in the Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD). This is a dynamic opportunity for a student-centered and strategic leader to shape and enhance the career readiness and success of a diverse, high-achieving student population.

The Associate Director will lead a team of career development advisors, driving the delivery of high-impact advising, programming, and employer engagement strategies. In collaboration with CCPD leadership, this role will contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aligned with university goals.

Key responsibilities include overseeing individualized student advising, designing and evaluating innovative career development programs and workshops, managing the department's social media presence, and fostering partnerships across campus and with employers. The Associate Director will also play a key role in data management and reporting to inform continuous improvement and highlight departmental impact.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Higher Education Administration, or a related field required; Doctorate preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in career advising, counseling, or related areas within a higher education environment.

  • Proven leadership experience, including team supervision, mentoring, and staff development.

  • Strong knowledge of career development theories, job market trends, and best practices in student career services.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to build partnerships across academic, employer, and campus communities.

  • Experience in data-driven decision-making, program assessment, and reporting.

  • Proficiency in leveraging digital platforms and social media for outreach and engagement is preferred.

Compensation:

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 to $68,340. The final offer will consider the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience, along with applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs.
