Project Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating technical and project controls aspects of a project from beginning through close-out. Project Engineer oversees planning and coordinating technical initiatives to make sure they can complete a project within their budget and according to a schedule. Duties include upholding project standards by researching compliance regulations, developing project implementation plans and adjusting specifications for elements of a project.

Responsibilities

*Participate and/or conduct regular meetings with project team (internal and external) to ensure clarification and meet specific requirements in a timely manner.

*Delegate tasks to team members according to their individual skill sets, experience and abilities to ensure efficient completion of the project.

*Work directly with project managers and project controls team to maintain budgets, metrics and reporting, adjusting according to needs as they arise.

*Track overall project schedule and budget health performance and analyze the completion of project goals.

*Document and report project progress to project team and stakeholders.

*Manage project Request for Information (RFIs) and submittals.

*Coordinate delivery and logistics of all owners furnished equipment.

*Assisting with bid analysis, constructability reviews, and permit processing.

*Creation of owners' project punch lists and closeout documentation.

*Responsible for maintaining design/construction documents throughout the project.

*Coordination with commissioning team and assisting with commissioning activities and documentation.

*Perform other miscellaneous related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

*Technical background in engineering/construction or equivalent relevant experience.

*5+ years of experience working in Data Center facilities.

*Ability to interpret contract documents, owner project requirements, drawings, specifications, system schematics, sequence of operations, MEP scopes of work and project schedule.

*Experience developing and overseeing methods of procedure (MOP) and other project procedures.

*Experience reading and comprehending project design drawings, sequence of operations, operating procedures and related technical documents/schematics.

*Knowledge of NETA guidelines and standards.

*Knowledge and skills in a wide variety of applications including web based and project management systems.

*Well-rounded knowledge of MEP systems and construction processes across all trades, means and methods, and materials their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances.

*Experience with Building Management Systems, including Environmental controls and Electrical Power Management Systems.

*Experience with access controls and CCTV systems.

*Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders, and negotiate work areas under construction.

*Robust performance management, ensuring tasks are completed timely and efficiently.

*Excellent time management, ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.

*Exceptional communication skills, effectively interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

*Experience in construction cost forecasting, accrual reporting, pay applications, and construction scheduling and planning.

*Experience using scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, DCMA 14, or similar scheduling assessment tools.

*Understanding of project management principles and best practices.

*Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

*Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
