Master Data Specialist

Reporting to the Supervisor, Customer Service, the primary focus of the Master Data Specialist is to support operations and ensure data integrity within the organization, while adhering to master data management guidelines. This individual will create and maintain master records in SAP and provide communication on recommendations to ensure proper procedure and processes are followed.

• Act as gate keeper for all master data activities within core-focus areas; ensuring data integrity including managing workflow requests, approving/reworking/rejecting, and training others as needed.
• Enter, audit, edit, and research master data components required for managing accuracy and integrity of SAP data to support business needs as well as assist with troubleshooting activities related to SAP data.
• Establish, improve, and develop Master Data Management governance best practices and processes.
• Support other Master Data roles, when needed.
• Communicate cross-functionally with teams, including various stakeholders in Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Logistics, Finance, Analytics, and Customer Service, to support data quality within the business.
• Maintain both material and customer data including but not limited to exclusion tables, ensuring Country of Origin accuracy, maintaining material-specific updates, and maintaining all customer and contract-related data
• Maintain the accuracy of the material determination table for replacement material items
• Ensure specific customer master activity is supported by approved documentation for audit readiness

• Minimum of 4 years of relative Master Data experience
• High School diploma is required
• Previous experience with SAP (or another related ERP system)
• A self-directed individual who can work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Detailed-oriented with high accuracy, governance awareness, effective problem solver in a fast paced, multi-tasking, deadline-driven work environment
