Intern - Rail Engineering

What you'll be challenged to do:

During your internship, you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing design services for a wide variety of projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship by experienced engineers and professionals with your success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Collaborate on real-world freight rail and transit projects.
• Attend project meetings, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and assist in design and development.
• Assist project engineers and project managers in designing track alignment geometry and intermodal facility layouts.
• Perform engineering calculations and do quantity takeoffs.
• Gain exposure to the design process, from concept to construction.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area.

Core Business Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Employment Status: Full-Time
Salary Range: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour.
Salary dependent upon experience and geographic location
