SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

The IT Reporting & Performance Manager is responsible for driving advanced IT decision making. The incumbent must be able to effectively analyze data and provide meaningful insights to senior leadership to enable advanced decision-making capabilities. The IT Reporting & Performance Manager will also be responsible for managing a small team of IT Reporting Analysts supporting IT data reporting, IT finance, IT Resource and IT Performance management capabilities. Position will be remote with some onsite travel as needed to the following offices: Texas, Florida and South Carolina.

DELIVERY

  • Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics.

  • Work with Technology management and staff, business stakeholders, support groups, Executive management, and other subject matter experts to identify and analyze Technology related data, processes, and information.

  • Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of analyst and data employees and effective collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting employees with comprehensive policies and processes.

  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

  • Examine, interpret, and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders

  • Oversee the IT Reporting requests process: tracking requests submitted, prioritization, approval, etc.

  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs. Analyze and make conclusions from data to assist Technology or the business to identify actions or make decisions.

  • Be able to understand high-level business processes to appropriately analyze data and efficiently provide reporting back to the appropriate IT or Enterprise line of business.

  • Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee, review, and approve related process documentation including standards, procedures, and work instructions.

  • Prepare summaries and dashboards related to projects, initiatives, issues, results, or metrics directed toward a senior or executive audience.

  • Act as a technical resource for Technology team members to ensure financial or management data or issues are clear and comprehensive.

  • Adhere to existing processes/standards/policies as set forth by the Company or other departments as these apply.

  • Recruit, train, develop and supervise analyst-level employees.

  • Serve as a resource for change enablement by embracing change and championing new ideas/opportunities.

  • Develop business partnerships to build & increase buy-in across multiple lines of business and functions. Establish effective relationships with Technology personnel, program and project managers, and other business partners.

  • Prioritize and manage own and team's workload to deliver quality results and meet timelines. Ensure quality and accuracy of data and information is a priority.

  • Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation, and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest.

  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency of the business unit and/or team.

  • Facilitate cross departmental meetings effectively with prepared agendas and clear next steps to move toward implementation, completion, or resolution of projects or issues.

  • Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with trends/development and regulatory changes which may affect documentation or processes. Develop awareness of South State Bank Technology services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools, and techniques which can contribute to better analysis.

  • Possess and demonstrate effective communication skills/habits, both written and verbal

  • Successful in creating confidence of capabilities with team members and business stake holders

  • Accepts other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Advanced knowledge MS Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, and SharePoint

  • Advanced knowledge of PowerBI

  • Advanced understanding of Data visualization tools and ability to quickly adapt and use the most appropriate tools available

  • Ability to manage/lead a small group (e.g., <5)

  • Subject matter expert and consults with clients and/or project teams.

  • Leads the development of detailed/ complex and/or comprehensive process flows and narratives, along with gap identification and project plans which may impact business services and systems.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to learn and grasp new concepts and business processes quickly.

  • Detail-oriented with ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders

  • Organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize; strong attention to detail; ability to work in a dynamic environment, independently and within teams

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Business Intelligence, or related field

  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in advanced Data Analytics, IT Financial Management, Process Improvement, or KPI Reporting & Metrics

  • Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of MS Tools and PowerBI

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES:

  • New Employee Orientation

  • Required annual compliance training

  • Cross departmental training

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.

In accordance with Colorado law: Colorado pay for this position is anticipated to be between $113,320.00 - $181,018.00 , actual offers to be determined based on applicant's skills, experience and education.
