JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Kantor Lab is currently recruiting undergraduate students to help with laboratory activities. Job responsibilities include: Assist with forest and insect vector sample collection. Support general lab operations, provide assistance in ongoing nematology, microbiology, and molecular biology experiments as assigned. Learn and follow scientific protocols. Other tasks may include but are not mandatory: Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and research summaries (opportunities for co-authorship may be possible with significant contribution). Perform laboratory tasks such as data entry, basic statistics, microscopy, sample collection, DNA extraction, PCR, and nematode identification/counts. Assist with experimental design, data collection, and analysis under supervision. Education and Experience: Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in wildlife and fisheries science, biology, microbiology, plant sciences, or a related field. No prior research experience required; laboratory coursework or previous research experience is an advantage. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are essential. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
