Workforce Development Student Consultant- Flex/PRN

The Workforce Development Student Consultant plays a key role in promoting and enrolling students into workforce training, certification, and career-readiness programs. This position focuses on outreach, relationship-building, and guiding prospective students through the application and enrollment process.

• Candidate Outreach & Engagement

Identify and connect with potential job seekers, often through community events, job fairs, training programs, and local organizations.

• Screening & Matching

Assess job seekers' skills, experience, and career goals to match them with appropriate job opportunities or training programs.

• Employer Relations

Build and maintain relationships with employers to understand their workforce needs and promote qualified candidates.

• Program Coordination

Collaborate with workforce development programs, training providers, and community organziations to support job readiness initiatives.

• Data & Reporting

Track outcomes, document candidate progress, and report on job placements and program success metrics.

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field required or equivalent 8 years of experience required. Master's degree preferred

Experience: Five (5) years of directly-related experience in specialized area required.

Licensure, certification and/or registration: PHR, SPHR or other approved HR certification required within 1 year of hire.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Must possess excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Demonstrated analytical thinking and interpersonal skills. Must work well in a team environment and have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Lawson knowledge preferred. Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to work on multiple tasks/projects while meeting deadlines and being flexible in an environment of changing priorities.
