The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Accountable for customer service, and maintaining working relationships with all functional areas, staff, students, faculty, and patients. Responsible for applicable front end revenue cycle and accurate data collection.

Responsibilities



  • Reviews the roster of assigned students to assure schedule efficiency.
  • Reconciles patient accounts and sets up payment plans.
  • Processes refunds and adjustments.
  • Assists in missing charges resolution.
  • Inform providers and assign faculty of any deficiencies.
  • Meets regulatory requirements mandated, including but not limited to Article 28 awareness, HIPAA compliance training, and all CU, CUMC and CDM training programs.
  • Ensures that patients, students, residents, faculty, other staff, and managers are treated with respect and courtesy.
  • Promotes the culture of teamwork, commitment and accountability. Provides recommendations for process improvement. Assumes responsibility for self-development.
  • Conforms to all applicable Art. 28, HIPAA, billing compliance and safety policies and guidelines.
  • Escalates any issues as appropriate. Advises the Manager on matters pertinent to the excellence in clinic operations.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree and at least two to three years of experience or equivalent in education, training, and experience.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Familiar with Dental insurance billing, collections and eligibility as it pertains to managed care, government and self-pay reimbursement concepts and overall operational impact.
  • Able to build relationships and interact with diverse groups of individuals at all levels through influence and persuasion.
  • Able to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and undertake multiple tasks as required.
  • Requires strong communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of EHR and electronic scheduling systems.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Bilingual English/Spanish.
