Radiation Therapist-Oncology Radiation Therapy-Part Time

Summary:

Performs radiation therapy and radiographic procedures involving the application of X-rays and radioactive substances to patients. Operates specialized X-ray equipment as prescribed by the physician. Keeps treatment records and prepares operational reports as required. Maintains, stores and orders supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities:

* Provides quality patient care in relation to the patient's prescribed diagnosis, treatment, age group, development and other identified needs
* Responsible for the performance of all duties relating to the administration of a prescribed course of Radiation Therapy

Requirements:

• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, clinical judgment, and knowledge of Radiation Therapy Theory and Practice.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy / Radiography. Certification in Radiation Therapy Technology in the State of Louisiana.
