The Cancer Center of Kansas (CCK) is seeking a full-time, on-site Project Coordinator to join our team in our Wichita, KS offices. The typical work week is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with no major holidays, no on-call and no weekends.

What does this position entail?

Under direct supervision, performs a wide variety of professional analytical and administrative duties; performs duties in support of Directors including special projects, research, credentialing, and licensing; coordinates and performs a variety of activities that support the practice. Relies on education, guidelines, policies, and legal requirements to perform responsibilities. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are:

  • Coordinate initial credentialing and recredentialing processes for the practice's sites and providers.

  • Maintains current provider and organizational files related to credentialing and licensing responsibilities, ensuring all documents are complete and up to date as needed for submissions.

  • Submit and monitor applications for payors and other applicable credentials.

  • Support enrollment and re-enrollment with payers, including Medicaid and Medicare.

  • Collaborate with compliance, leadership, and other administrative personnel to support ongoing credentialing efforts or assigned special projects.

  • When assigned, assist with internal and external audit requests.

  • Perform a wide variety of professional level research, administrative, and analytical duties in support of assigned functions for Practice Directors.

  • Perform duties in support of various administrative operations and activities within assigned area of responsibility including special projects, revenue cycle, operations and research studies.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, and priorities for assigned functions; make recommendations for process improvements related to assigned projects or responsibilities.

  • Coordinate, implement, and monitor special projects within assigned area of responsibility; perform complex research and analysis of new procedures; Plan, coordinate, and evaluate activities associated with assigned duties or projects; participate in meetings and evaluation of proposed recommendations; assist in putting measurements in place and monitor compliance

  • Provide staff assistance to higher-level management staff; participate on and provide staff support to a variety of committees;

  • Coordinate and collaborate with departments, divisions, and outside agencies; serve as a liaison to assist region with obtaining information, submitting information, and serves as a resource.

  • Respond to inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality with regard to the assigned tasks, information handling and projects.

  • Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the position will have the following qualifications:

Education and or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; college course work in business administration or relevant equivalent required.

  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel) required.

  • Perform a full range of responsible analytical and administrative duties in support of assigned functions, and region involving the use of independent judgment and personal initiative.

  • Research and analyze problems and prepare recommendations on a variety of issues.

  • Understand the organization and operation of assigned department and outside agencies as necessary to assume assigned responsibilities.

  • Collect, evaluate, and interpret complex information and data.

  • Maintain accurate and complete records on programs and operations.

  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
