Job Description

What is the opportunity?

  • Coverage of liquid products to US-based institutional clients, in particular ETF clients
  • Accountable to bring new mature client relationships and convert existing client base
  • Expand ability of desk to cover more clients and expand market share
  • Team up with Cash Sales to monetize the client franchise further

What will you do?

  • Cover clients for listed and OTC options, light exotics and delta 1 swaps.
  • Engage with and liaise with key partners of Global Equities, Commodities, Rates, FX, Macro, Credit
  • Provide desk ideas, client coverage focus and expand market share
  • Onboard new clients
  • Book trades and suggest initiatives for automation and improvement
  • Work closely with Sales, Trading, Functional partners to align our products with client demand
  • Develop, foster and manage a strong working partnership across Global Markets Sales & Trading teams to drive alignment and synergies
  • Proactively identify credit and operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business
  • Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
  • Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Job requires experience in the financial markets and equity business.
  • Equity derivatives sales and trading requires a level of technical skills to understand first and second order effects of stock prices upon options.
  • Order management systems and client coverage booking
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Series 3, 7, 57 and 63

AUTHORITIES, IMPACT, RISK

  • Position is authorized to act in accordance with e rules and regulations of the industry and RBC to deliver Global Equities suite of products to clients
  • Impact of delivery will be measured based on Client Value generated and relationships created

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The work environment is based on a trading floor, thus little physical effort is required.

  • The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $250,000 - $300,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
